Project Planner â Engineering Projects Jobs in Centurion, South Africa at C3 Resources
Key Responsibilities
– Develop and maintain detailed project schedules In line with approved work breakdown structures (WBS) in MS Project, aligned with project scope and engineering deliverables
– Update and maintain project schedules with actual progress data and forecasting dates received from engineering, expeditor, procurement, OEM’s and fabricators
– Assist with resource loading, man-hour forecasting, and progress measurement
– Monitor project progress, identify schedule risks, and recommend corrective actions
– Perform critical path and float analysis to support decision-making
– Track engineering, procurement, fabrication, and site activities against the baseline programme
– Provide updates to Senior Project Manager
– Prepare progress reports, schedule updates, and look-ahead plans for management and clients
– Support cost and resource planning in collaboration with project controls and management teams
– Assist with change management, including schedule impact assessments
– Ensure planning aligns with contractual milestones and reporting requirements
– Participate in project review meetings and planning workshops
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
– Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline
– Minimum 5 years experience as a Project Planner with demonstrated proficiency in MS Project and at least five years of proven experience within an EPC environment, supported by a strong technical background.
– Strong understanding of engineering project life cycles and execution methodologies
– Solid analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills
– Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
– High attention to detail, structured working style, and deadline-driven mindset
